Archival Works On Paper "Stream Bed and Reflections" Series
"My artwork is a constant evolution of an inner need to express an evolution of a thought process. It's all about process, unfolding and discovering. Working small allows me to express deeply, quickly and allows the thought to carry on to the next piece and the next piece until it reaches a crescendo and the series is complete."
Diane La Fontaine
The method for each painting is first created, with a vinyl paste applied over heavy weight watercolor paper. The surface is then hand craved and sanded. Acrylic paints and mixed mediums are used for desired effects. The painting is then sealed with a varnish and mounted on archival board.
