"It has been a large part of my art career's pursuit, to find new ways in which to express my unique mixed media method into innovative and fresh, modern art. These new low relief paintings on panels, with their textured and sculptural surfaces, invite an intimacy for the viewer that is tactile and rich in complexity of surface. These abstract paintings were inspired by the flora and the light of Maui along with pebbles and their reflections in riverbeds."
