"In this body of work I am seeking to create a dynamic play of inter-related fields of color, creating rhythm and depth within the picture plane. This series of work shows an evolution of a contemplative thought process in sequential order. The evolution of these geometric abstracts came from a need to express a more simplified and universal reality."

Diane's inspiration for this series came from Maui's natural beauty, specifically the hibiscus and bougainvillea flowers, ti leaves, sea, sky, and sun.
The original geometric paintings are a series of 50 small artworks.
The abstract compositions are made from hand cut and painted acrylics on paper, glued onto 140 lb. watercolor paper. Signed, titled and dated on the back.
